“Carbon emissions” is the colloquial term representing greenhouse gas emissions. You’ll most commonly see your carbon footprint total with the units ‘tCO2e’. This means tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent emissions. This takes all the different types of greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous oxide and converts them to an equivalent CO2 value.
